Patrick is the Program Director at Taconic Resources for Independence, Inc. He joined the team on May 9th, 1990 as the Independent Living Specialist. In 2000, he was a key partner in the development of the Mobile Benefits Counselor position, which is funded through the Department of Behavioral and Community Health. In 2007 he completed Leadership Dutchess, a community leadership program offered by the Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce.
Patrick currently serves as president on the board of directors of Projects to Empower and Organize the Psychiatrically Labeled, known as PEOPLe, Inc. In 2017 he joined the Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Subcommittee which is part of the Dutchess County Mental Hygiene board. He is also a member of related committees and coalitions across Dutchess County and New York State.
Patrick received his M.S.W. in Social Work from Fordham University. While earning his degree, he started a travel training program at the B.O.C.E.S. program at Arlington High School. He continues to work with students in this capacity during the spring and fall months.
Patrick chooses to focus on ABILITY rather than disability. In all of his roles, he continues to work towards inclusion and acceptance for people of all abilities.
When not working, Patrick enjoys camping, spending time at the beach and tending to his yard.
