Wanted: Unused Hearing Aids
Drop off your unused hearing aids at TRI, for collection by the Lions Club. They will be recycled and distributed to persons in need. Please contact Jeanine Byrnes for more information.

Regal Cinemas are Fully Accessible!
Been a while since you have seen a movie? The Regal Cinemas in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill and Kingston have captioned glasses, assisted listening devices and descriptive devices for the visually impaired.
Here is what you do:

  • Purchase your movie ticket
  • Go to the customer service desk ask for the equipment you need they will ask what movie you are seeing so they can set up the equipment
  • Give them your license
  • Enjoy the movie
  • When you return the equipment, you get your license back
  • The reason for the license is so they get their equipment back!

Open Captioned Plays
The Theatre Development Foundation (TDF) in New York City provides discounted seating for all open caption and interpreter-provided Broadway plays.
Sign up to receive the current schedule of accessible performances.  A new schedule is mailed every 2 months.
