Taconic Resources for Independence, Inc. (TRI) is Dutchess County’s Independent Living Center (ILC) serving people with disabilities, providing resources, and advocating for the removal of barriers to self-sufficiency.

Our primary goal is to remove financial, architectural, communication, and attitudinal barriers towards people with disabilities to allow for full participation and independence locally and beyond.

TRI is one of 41 Independent Living Centers (ILCs) in New York State. TRI was founded in 1986 and is located in Dutchess County, NY. Our mission is to promote independence and integration in society for people with disabilities.

ILCs are community-based, cross-disability, non-profit organizations. ILCs are unique in that they operate according to a strict philosophy of self-direction, wherein people with all types of disabilities directly govern and staff the organization.

Please contact us at 845-452-3913 should you require additional information regarding independent living.
