We have FREE monthly in-person and virtual workshops on ‘How to Apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI’) for individuals between the ages of 18 and 64. There is an age limit to apply for Social Security Disability. If you are age 65 or older, the option would be to apply for early retirement.
For those who are currently receiving SSI and SSDI benefits, we also provide monthly workshops that explain the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) work incentives – SSA’s Ticket-To-Work Program!
These informational workshops are tailored for Dutchess County, NYS residents. However, anyone is welcome to attend. Services are paid for in part by Dutchess County Think Differently.
The virtual Zoom meetings are not in a Webinar format. Your display name and camera/video (if you choose to turn on) will be visible to other attendees. The virtual meeting set-up is as if you were attending a workshop in person. Do not share any confidential identifying information about yourself or others in group settings. You can schedule a private one-on-one meeting with the benefits counselor after attending the workshop.
