We have FREE monthly in-person and virtual workshops on How to Apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) for individuals between the ages of 18 and 64. For those who are currently receiving SSI and SSDI benefits, we also provide monthly workshops that explain the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) work incentives – SSA’s Ticket-To-Work Program!
These informational workshops are tailored for Dutchess County, NYS residents. However, anyone is welcome to attend. Services are paid for in part by Dutchess County Think Differently.
The virtual Zoom meetings are not in a Webinar format. Your display name and camera/video (if you choose to turn on) will be visible to other attendees. The virtual meeting set-up is just as if you were attending a workshop in person. We advise that you do not share any confidential information about yourself or of others in group settings. You can schedule a private one-on-one meeting with the benefits counselor after attending the workshop.

Spotting early warning signs and supporting open communication
Two sessions of this workshop will be offered on Monday, June 23rd, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM and on Wednesday, June 25th 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. CLICK HERE to register in advance.
Children and adolescents with disabilities are 20-30% more likely to develop co-existing mental health issues compared to their peers, and they may face challenges in communicating thoughts and feelings, developing appropriate strategies for support, and creating accessible outlets for emotional regulation. At this virtual workshop and parent network event, parents/caregivers, families, and service providers can find support from others with similar experiences caring for youth with disabilities!
