Housing Advocacy Information Session

Interested in Affordable Housing Options?

Please register in advance and join us via Zoom for an information session to learn about housing advocacy for individuals with disabilities, including those who are transitioning from residential settings such as skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, homeless shelters etc.

Date: Thursday, July 31st, 2025 đź•’ Time: 1:30-2:30 PM
📢 Topics include:

  • Different types of housing opportunities
  • Independent living skills that may be needed for everyday life
  • Accessibility considerations, self-advocacy skills, and knowing your rights
  • Support services and available resources.

TRI INCLUSION FESTIVAL

June 29, 2022 @ 7:00 am 11:00 am

Join us on Wednesday, June 29th as we celebrate disability pride and culture at our first annual TRI Inclusion Festival! Our event will feature an array of accessible, engaging, and fun activities on the beautiful grounds of the Home of FDR National Historic Site!

American Sign Language Interpreters will be provided. Click here to RSVP for our TRI Inclusion Festival!

Participate in:

  • Guided tour of the FDR site grounds with staff rangers
  • Accessible yoga session with Hudson River Yoga owner, Susannah Grange
  • Readings of a children’s graphic book: Jolene – the Disability Awareness Chicken, by author Karen Finnegan
  • A workshop on “Housing Rights are Human Rights” with Kristine Thayer from Westchester Residential Opportunities AND MORE!
