Workshop: Determining Eligibility for Special Education Services

Families of students with disabilities are invited to attend this workshop centered around school-based supports available to students, as well as the process for determining a child’s eligibility to receive special education services. This will include the procedure for referral, evaluation, and recommendation for individualized support.

Workshop: Student Suspensions in Special Education

Students with disabilities often face a much higher rate of suspensions than their non-disabled peers. Join our Parent Empowerment Program to learn how to navigate these suspensions as a parent of a disabled student.

This workshop will discuss critical considerations for individuals of all ages who have a disability, including creating a life care plan, how it can help, and who should be involved. Learn crucial information about government benefits, special needs trusts, ABLE accounts, and other legal and
financial structures. Preparing for the financial future of a loved one with a disability can help ease the burden of unexpected tomorrows and
ensure that their care and quality of life continue well into their future.
